Taxing the Evil Rich

So Obama wants $1.6 trillion in revenues by raising taxes on the rich; calculated over a 10 year period, annual revenues amount to $160 billion. Yet the government spends about $10.46 billion a day (actual in 2011), that makes taxing the rich 15 days worth of spending.

Now, Obama states that he created five million jobs (public sector) with his stimulus of $800 billion in 2009. So, using his math then, the private sector would not be able to hire about 1 million people per year (10 million in the 10 year period) with the confiscation of wealth.

Barack Obama, do the math.

I WAS WRONG

I received this via email, author is unknown but spot on:

Well, It's official; I don't know anything.

I thought for sure that given such a clear choice, Americans would vote for love of country over revenge.

I was wrong.

I thought, that just as every presidential election in my lifetime, the bad economy would be hung around the incumbent's neck, sinking him.

I was wrong.

I thought that even those few Americans who were fortunate enough to still be fully employed (not counting those leeching off the public system) would be cognizant of how much pain their neighbors were in and elect someone who would at least try to make improvements.

I was wrong.

I thought that now that FINALLY some of the disturbing truths about our first black president had come to light, voters would reject a man so dangerously at odds with the American experience.

I was wrong.

I thought the 2010 elections and the Tea Party meant something.

I thought the enthusiasm on display at Romney/Ryan events, contrasted with the lack of same at Obama/Biden events meant something.

I thought Americans would never sell their liberty for the sake of trinkets like cell phones or even big shiny lies like 'free health care'.

I was wrong.

Never in a million years would I have supposed that America would support a president who left his (our) people to die at the hands of our enemies overseas without lifting a hand to help, then lie about what he watched in real time for over two weeks, then lie about the lie for another month.

I was wrong.

I thought Americans could tell a hawk from a handsaw.

I was wrong.

We were offered the clearest choice we've had since 1980, where we had malaise and a misery index on one hand and a shining city on a hill on the other. Back then, we chose the city on the hill. This time the choice was between a man who says 7.9% unemployment and $4.00 gas is the new normal and a guy whose entire career has been about fixing broken entities.

We chose to stay broken. And Broke.

Maybe I'm wrong about the ramifications of this choice. Maybe windmills will actually turn out to be a viable energy source. Maybe America diminished will be loved overseas. Maybe a nuclear Iran won't be a threat. Maybe Israel is over reacting. Maybe western civilization was always over rated. Maybe life under sharia is fun. Maybe when the rest of the world realizes that we have no intention of ever paying back that $16,000,000,000,000.00 (and counting) that we've borrowed from them, they won't devalue the dollar, causing hyper inflation here at home. Maybe China will just keep on giving us money and not demand our hearts, souls, national monuments and marriageable daughters as payment.

I've watched my candidate lose elections before but I've never felt the way I did when this one was called for Obama.

It wasn't bitterness or sadness or even disappointment. It took me a while to figure out what it was. Then it hit me; it was horror.

Pure, unadulterated horror.

Not because of Obama, but because of what it says about us, the American people, that we chose this.

It shouldn't have even been close. Faced with the choice between taking charge of our destiny and tackling our financial problems, we opted to get high and have sex. We reelected a guy who doesn't understand that a growing economy that creates more tax payers will bring in more revenue than higher taxes. A Commander in Chief who doesn't know our military still uses bayonets. A man who wants to control the economy without even knowing the difference between bankruptcy and liquidation. It was one thing to elect an unknown quantity, buying his line of 'Hope and Change'. It's something else to deliberately choose his failed policies over someone who has actually achieved success in life. I never dreamed America would do that.

Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, Hello Idiocracy!

Goodbye, recovery.

Goodbye, energy independence.

Goodbye, religious liberty.

Goodbye, liberty and justice for all.

Goodbye, American dream.

It profits a man nothing to lose his soul for the whole world but we threw ours away for cell phones and birth control pills.

In the twentieth century (the American Century), we stepped up to the plate three times and saved the rest of the world from fascism, nazism and communism. We were the cavalry, always riding to the rescue.

Now, we've gotten rid of our horses, spent all our money on windmills, alienated our allies, bowed to our enemies, cut ourselves off from our own natural resources, thrown away our children's birthright and spent their inheritance. Kill the unborn!

And we did it on purpose.

When the wolf is at the door (and he's coming, yelling 'Allahu Akbar') we're going to find out that there is no one out there to come to our rescue.

On the bright side, maybe it'll all turn out great. After all, I don't know anything.

2012 PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE AND THE COMPLICIT MEDIA

If you didn't watch the 2012 Presidential debate, you missed a great example of the ignorance and bias being perpetuated by the complicit media, specifically on the subject of Libya and the murder of four American citizens.  I feel obligated to comment on one of the more horrific missteps by the 'moderator,' such as she was, Candy Crowley:

It should be an embarrassment for Candy Crowley for her appalling behavior last night, instead of being a moderator, she inserted herself as an ignorant truly biased pundit coming to the rescue of the biggest liar, Barack Obama. He did not say in the Rose Garden that it was a terrorist act, five days later, on the talk shows. Ambassador Susan Rice continued the lie, as Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton had done in the Rose Garden, that it was a film about Muhammad; and for the next two weeks, there was no admission that it was a terrorist act. The American people deserve to know the truth, and having such an ignorant, biased, and truly incompetent "moderator," such as she was, on stage PERPETUATING THE LIE TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE is absolutely unconscionable. Get a clue Candy, you were an absolute disgrace.

Now lets also consider what Barack said, that he was on the phone with his national security people immediately that night after the murders occurred. It then begs the question whether the entire Obama administration is truly incompetent! Were the national security people aware that it was a terrorist act? If the answer to that question is no, then it goes without saying, BARACK OBAMA AND HIS ENTIRE NATIONAL SECURITY, U.S. Department of State, AND Hillary Clinton ARE INCOMPETENT. If the answer to that question is yes, the national security team was aware it was a terrorist act, then the next statement is that Barack knew it was a terrorist act since he was on the phone with them within hours and he decided to politicize and spin the facts blaming a film that started the protests...EXCEPT THERE WERE NO PROTESTS AT ALL, ONLY THE ACTUAL ATTACK THAT MURDERED OUR AMERICAN ABMASSADOR AND THREE OTHER PEOPLE.

Candy Crowley, even as a pundit, you have pathetically failed; perhaps it is time for you to find another job, one that you can do better. And, one more thing, YOU OWE THE ENTIRE AMERICAN VIEWERSHIP AND MITT ROMNEY AN APOLOGY, FOR YOUR ABHORRENT BEHAVIOR, YOUR OBVIOUSLY BIASED BEHAVIOR, AND YOUR TRULY INACCURATE REPRESENTATION OF THE FACTS.

FACTS ABOUT MITT ROMNEY

Some interesting facts about Romney.

After going to both Harvard Business School and Harvard Law School simultaneously, he passed the Michigan bar, but never worked as an attorney.

As a venture-capitalist, Romney's first major business deal involved investing in a start-up office supply company with one store in Massachusetts that sold office supplies. That company, called Staples, now has over 2,000 stores and employs over 90,000 people.

Romney or his company Bain Capital (using what became known as the "Bain Way") would go on to perform the same kinds of business miracles again and again, with companies like Domino's, Sealy, Brookstone, Weather Channel, Burger King, Warner Music Group, Dollarama, Home Depot Supply, and many others.

Got your calculators handy? Let's recap.

** Volunteer campaign worker for his dad's gubernatorial campaign 1 year.

** Unpaid intern in Governor's office 8 years.

** Mormon missionary in Paris 2 years.

** Unpaid bishop and state president for his church 10 years.

** Took no salary as president of the Salt Lake Olympics 3 years.

** No salary as MA governor 4 years.

** Gave his ENTIRE INHERITANCE to charity.

That's a grand total of 28 years of unpaid service to his country, his community and his church. Why? Because that's the kind of man Mitt Romney is.

And he'll show you his:

1) Un-doctored Birth Certificate!

2) College transcripts!

3) Law degree!

4) Un-doctored Draft notice!

5) And un-doctored Social Security card, and what state it's registered in!

When was the last time we elected a politician of this character, intellect, experience and integrity?

PLEASE SHARE THIS WITH ALL OF YOUR FRIENDS, BUSINESS ASSOCIATES AND FAMILY.  WE MUST DEFEAT OBAMA IN NOVEMBER.  IF WE, THE PRODUCERS IN THIS COUNTRY, DO NOT RALLY TO OUR COUNTRY'S CALL, THE LOOTERS WILL OWN IT, ...... AND WE WILL PAY!

Only in America---Top Ten

From a disgruntled friend…I don’t know if all or most of these facts are correct, but, I am certain more could be added to this list.

Only in America---Top Ten

1) Only in America could politicians talk about the greed of the rich at a $35,000 a plate campaign fund raising event.

2) Only in America could people claim that the government still discriminates against black Americans when we have a black President, a black Attorney General, and roughly 18% of the federal workforce is black. 12% of the population is black.

3) Only in America could we have had the two people most responsible for our tax code, Timothy Geithner, the head of the Treasury Department and Charles Rangel who once ran the Ways and Means Committee, BOTH turn out to be tax cheats who are in favor of higher taxes.

4) Only in America can we have terrorists kill people in the name of Allah and have the media primarily react by fretting that Muslims might be harmed by the backlash.

5) Only in America would we make people who want to legally become American citizens wait for years in their home countries and pay tens of thousands of dollars for the privilege while we discuss letting anyone who sneaks into the country illegally just become American citizens.

6) Only in America could the people who believe in balancing the budget and sticking by the country's Constitution be thought of as "extremists."

7) Only in America could you need to present a driver's license to cash a check or buy alcohol, but not to vote.

8) Only in America could people demand the government investigate whether oil companies are gouging the public because the price of gas went up when the return on equity invested in a major U.S. oil company (Marathon Oil) is less than half of a company making tennis shoes (Nike).

9) Only in America could the government collect more tax dollars from the people than any nation in recorded history, still spend a trillion dollars more than it has per year for total spending of $7 million PER MINUTE, and complain that it doesn't have nearly enough money.

10) Only in America could the rich people who pay 86% of all income taxes be accused of not paying their "fair share" by people who don't pay any income taxes at all.

Emails to Obama, Biden, Boxer, and Feinstein on Economy

Enough of the Spending

This is how we, the middle class citizens, view what you, the democrats, and Obama, have done to us: The Obama Legacy. I have children and grandchildren and it sickens me to know that you and your political class continue to ignore the peril you have put our country in. President Obama, Vice President Biden, Senator Boxer, and Senator Feinstein, it is time for you and your elitist class to fix our economy, stop the spending, reform the broken social programs, Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid, stop the scare tactics and the threats of tax increases; or, better yet, just step down and get out of the way of the efforts by the GOP to trim the budgets and reform where needed. Frankly, your work, your behavior, your partisanship, your ignorance exudes incompetence. You are a great disappointment to millions of Americans.

Email to the AFSCME Union

Tracey Coaty,

In regards to your email, specifically, “Shining a Light on House Budget Cuts to Medicare and Medicaid; the Republican budget plan replaces Medicare with a voucher system and slashes Medicaid spending,” YOU ARE BEING VERY DISINGENUOUS when you make this political and not about the truth and facts behind the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) (ObamaCare) as compared to the proposed Republican plan. Rather than putting out political propaganda such as this, perhaps it would be best to do real comparisons with what the democrats already gave us in the form of ACA and what the Republican plan wants to reform. You are patronizing and insulting to those of us who can research, critically evaluate, and omit the political propaganda for making important decisions.

Here is some literature that you can use to make real comparisons and TELL THE TRUTH – LEAVE THE POLITICS OUT OF IT:

How Health Reform Affects Current and Future Retirees:

“The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) will fundamentally alter Medicare. If its provisions remain in place, in the long run it will dramatically reduce Medicare spending relative to recent projections. This change will lower the burden for future taxpayers, but it could also reduce access to care for future beneficiaries.”

So, honestly, which is worse? Does the proposed Republican budget plan or the ACA plan, that was put in place by those democrats you support, make it worse for recipients of Medicare and Medicaid? Are you really for the people or for your political cronies? STOP THE POLITICIZATION OF SOMETHING AS CRITICAL AS OUR HEALTHCARE!!!
